A zeolite molecular sieve oxygen generator operates using the Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) process to produce concentrated oxygen. Ambient air is first compressed and directed into adsorption beds filled with zeolite material. The zeolite selectively adsorbs nitrogen molecules due to its specific pore size and chemical affinity, allowing oxygen molecules to pass through as the product gas. Once the zeolite reaches its nitrogen adsorption capacity, the system reduces the pressure, causing the nitrogen to desorb and regenerating the zeolite for the next cycle. By alternating between two adsorption beds, the generator provides a continuous flow of oxygen-enriched air, typically achieving oxygen concentrations of 90–95%. This method is energy-efficient and reliable, making it ideal for applications ranging from medical oxygen supply to industrial processes.
