GlobeCore can supply an online moisture + temperature probe with a local display for integration into a mobile transformer oil purification plant. On GlobeCore CMM mobile purification plants, the optional moisture probe provides continuous transformer-oil moisture and temperature measurement, and the plant can be supplied with a display showing moisture in ppm. For your application, I’d recommend an online “moisture-in-oil” sensor that measures water activity (aw) + oil temperature and calculates moisture in ppm (this is the standard approach used in GlobeCore’s TOR moisture measurement concept).
Pole units may be swapped in hours; substation or GSU units require days to months depending on diagnostics, logistics, spares, and procurement.

TOR-5 focuses on parameters that correlate with dielectric strength, such as moisture, temperature, and hydrogen trends. These give an indirect indication of insulation condition, but periodic offline BDV testing with a dedicated tester is still necessary for an actual breakdown voltage value.
