GSUs connect generators to HV transmission, raising voltage to 110-765 kV. Auxiliary transformers feed plant loads.
Classification includes by function (GSU, step-down, autotransformer), by cooling (ONAN, ONAF, OFAF, GIT), by insulation (oil, dry), and by voltage (HV/MV/LV).
Main parts of a power transformer include the magnetic core, primary and secondary windings, tank, insulating oil or solid insulation, bushings, conservator, radiators, tap changer and protection devices. The core guides magnetic flux, while windings carry current and produce or receive induced voltage. Oil or resin provides insulation and cooling. Bushings safely bring conductors through the tank wall. The conservator accommodates oil expansion. Radiators and fans or pumps remove heat. Tap changers adjust turns ratio. Relays, gauges and sensors monitor temperature, gas formation and oil levels for safe operation.
Sizing a control power transformer involves calculating the VA requirements of downstream control circuits, relays, PLCs, contactors, and auxiliary devices. Engineers consider inrush VA for coils, ambient temperature, duty cycle, and insulation class. Safety margins are added to prevent voltage drop during transient loads. Nameplate VA rating and secondary voltage must meet IEC/UL control standards.
Warner-branded power transformers are typically used in industrial and commercial applications such as machine tools, control panels, lighting systems, HVAC equipment, and distribution panels. They provide isolation and step-down for control circuits or local loads, often designed to meet UL/CE requirements. Typical uses include supplying 24-120 V control voltages from higher distribution levels, feeding contactors, relays, PLC I/O, and auxiliary equipment in factories, warehouses, and building services installations.
一月 24, 2026 7:27 上午 回复至: How are old power transformers refurbished or retired from service? #331615Retirement decisions are based on condition assessments, DGA trends, failure history, age, and load cycles. Refurbishment extends life, while retirement involves safe oil removal, dismantling, recycling, and decontamination procedures compliant with environmental standards.
一月 23, 2026 5:18 下午 回复至: How are power lines transformers refurbished to extend operational lifespan? #331508Power line transformers (pole-mounted or pad-mounted) can be refurbished by replacing gaskets, bushings, fuses, surge arresters, and filtering or replacing insulating oil. Testing includes insulation resistance, dielectric breakdown, and thermal inspections.
Industrial processes include core cutting, annealing, winding, varnishing, tanking, and type testing.

Permissible hydrogen limits themselves do not change with climate, because they are defined by fault criteria, not by ambient conditions. However, climate strongly affects the background level and trend. In hot regions with intense solar radiation, higher oil temperature accelerates gas generation and diffusion, so the baseline hydrogen level may be slightly higher and more variable. That is why in such climates trend analysis is more important than absolute values: a stable 50-100 ppm may be normal, while a fast rise is a real alarm regardless of location.

Each unit performs heating, degassing, and fine filtration. We’ll provide a commercial and technical proposal with pricing and specifications.
It includes pumps, heaters, filters, vacuum chambers, and control panels. GlobeCore systems are modular and customizable – suitable for substations, power plants, or industrial transformers of any voltage class.
Charges depend on oil volume, contamination level, and location. Owning a GlobeCore filtration system eliminates recurring service fees and gives full control over oil maintenance – often paying off within 1–2 years.
Treatment includes filtration, dehydration, degassing, and regeneration. GlobeCore’s systems restore oil’s dielectric strength, reduce water and gas content, and extend transformer lifespan – used globally by utilities and service companies.
These machines are used in manufacturing and power engineering for drying transformer windings and insulation. GlobeCore integrates hot air drying into their transformer service solutions – especially after oil draining or repair.
2197 turbo oil is widely used in jet engines due to its resistance to coking and oxidation at high temperatures. GlobeCore regeneration units remove contaminants and dissolved gases, extending oil life.
AeroShell 390 is a synthetic turbine oil for high-performance aviation engines, offering excellent oxidation resistance. GlobeCore purification plants degas and stabilize AeroShell 390, extending its operational cycle.
