The CMM-10 transformer oil processing unit is designed for vacuuming transformers, removing mechanical impurities, and eliminating water and gases from electrical insulation oils. Its capacity is 10 m³/h (2,642 gal./h) in degassing, drying, and filtration mode, and 15 m³/h (3,970 gal./h) in heating and filtration mode.
Transformer oil is taken from the transformer and continuously supplied to the CMM 10 unit. The oil is heated to the optimal processing temperature, which improves the efficiency of moisture and gas removal without affecting oil properties. Inside the vacuum chamber, the oil is exposed to deep vacuum conditions. Dissolved water, air and gases are effectively removed, restoring the insulating characteristics of the oil. The design of the vacuum system ensures stable dehydration and degassing even at high moisture levels.
After vacuum treatment, the oil passes through a multi stage fine filtration system that removes solid particles and mechanical impurities. Filtration helps prevent contamination of transformer insulation and improves overall oil cleanliness. The purified oil is then returned to the transformer or storage tank. The process is continuous and can be performed directly at the substation, allowing oil purification without transportation and with minimal impact on transformer operation.

Transformer oil condition plays a critical role in the safe and reliable operation of power transformers. Moisture, dissolved gases and solid contaminants reduce dielectric strength, accelerate insulation aging and increase the risk of partial discharges and failures.
Regular transformer oil purification and degassing help restore oil properties to industry standards, extend transformer service life and reduce the likelihood of unplanned outages at substations and power facilities.
