In the “old oil drain” mode, the CMM-G uses a vacuum pump to extract used lubricant from the wind turbine gearbox into the onboard waste oil tank. This vacuum extraction ensures that oil is removed efficiently from all accessible cavities and passages, reducing the risk of leaving degraded oil behind, which could otherwise contribute to increased wear or contamination after a new oil fill.
