The main byproduct is glycerin, which can be refined and used in cosmetics, soap making, or industrial lubricants. If walnut oil is extracted from whole nuts, the residual nut meal can be sold as animal feed or used as a fertilizer. Additionally, methanol-water mixtures from the process can be recovered and reused. The GlobeCore USB plant includes glycerin separation and supports methanol recovery, making it easier to monetize or sustainably manage byproducts, improving the economics of walnut biodiesel production.
