Ethanol production from corn grain is currently more widespread, but biodiesel from corn oil (especially as a byproduct) offers a cost-efficient supplement. It doesn’t require fermentation or distillation, just chemical conversion, which is cheaper and simpler. The GlobeCore USB plant adds to cost-effectiveness by automating and optimizing the biodiesel process, reducing labor and energy use. In integrated biorefineries, producing both ethanol and biodiesel improves ROI and resource utilization.
