How does filtration work in conjunction with oil bleaching?

Filtration in oil bleaching is used to remove the spent adsorbents (bleaching earth or activated carbon) and the impurities they have absorbed. After the bleaching process, the oil passes through a filter press or centrifuge, which separates the solid adsorbents from the purified oil.
