In practice, TOR-5 can help stabilize or slow down the growth of some DGA parameters, but it is not a direct “gas treatment” system. By continuously drying the oil and limiting moisture-driven aging, it reduces hydrolytic reactions and secondary gas generation over time. This often leads to slower hydrogen growth and more stable trends. However, if DGA increases are caused by an active electrical or thermal fault, TOR-5 will not eliminate it – it will only help you detect it early and prevent secondary degradation.
