GC Roots Vacuum Pumps

    Advantages
    • high vacuum is achieved rapidly;
    • high pumping rate in a wide pressure range (1-500 Pa);
    • pump chamber does not contain lubrication materials;
    • soft operation;
    • low noise;
    • high evacuation rate;
    • low power consumption;
    • simple maintenance;
    • small size.

GC Roots vacuum pumps are designed to create high and medium vacuum. The principle of Roots pump operation is baed on input and output of gas due to the rotation of two rotors inside the pump. The Roots pump cannot exhaust gas directly into the atmosphere; therefore, it is usually used in combination with a backing pump.

Some of the possible fields of application of Roots pumps are:

  • vacuum degassing;
  • vacuum melting;
  • vacuum treatment of molten steel;
  • vacuum heat treatment in metallurgy;
  • chemical industry;
  • medical applications;
  • food production;
  • motor manufacturing etc.
