    Advantages
    • Production of high quality asphalt emulsion regardless of initial bitumen quality by adding plasticizers, adhesion additives and thinners;
    • Production of all emulsion types, CRS4Cationic bitumen emulsion with Rapid Setting., CMS5Cationic bitumen emulsion with Medium Setting. and CSS-1,26Cationic bitumen emulsion with Slow Setting., as well as anionic emulsion of corresponding types, including subtype h;
    • Blend concentrate is diluted by water directly in the unit;
    • Safety of operation (emergency interlocks in place);
    • Emulsion complies with ASTM D 2397-98 and D977-98;
    • Small footprint;
    • Simple servicing and operation.

For outdoor operation the equipment can be manufactured in containers with rolling doors or anti-vandal protection.

For indoor operation or operation under canopy the equipment can be manufactured in an open container.

The 1 m3/hour and 2 m3/hour USB-2 bitumen emulsion systems are built in open containers and containers with rolling doors. The 8 m3/hour USB-2 bitumen emulsion1Bitumen emulsion is a blend of fine beads of bitumen and water. plants are are built in open containers, containers with rolling doors and anti-vandal containers.

Bitumen emulsion units

Quality. High process quality without the need to heat mineral material and binding. This alone saves up to 40% energy in comparison with the regular “hot” process.

Environmental considerations. Bitumen emulsion does not cause harmful emissions into the atmosphere, there is no risk of explosion or burns during transportation or bitumen solution processing.

Transportation of bitumen emulsion.

Bitumen emulsions are transported in special tanks, bitumen carriers, cubic vessels and metal barrels.

Storage of bitumen emulsion

Bitumen emulsions are stored in special tanks or other cylindrical vessels. The vessels must be clean: they must not contain residual emulsions, bitumen, POL or other acidic or alkaline materials.

Emulsion of different composition must not be mixed in one vessel. Tanks must be tightly closed to prevent ingress of foreign objects and evaporation of water. The temperature of storage must be at least 5°С.  If the volume of the emulsion is more than 1m3, the tanks should be equipped with special stirring agitators2An agitator is a device or mechanism to put something into motion by shaking or stirring..

Our company offers special vertical emulsion storage tanks SBE and SMB to store emulsion and polymer modified bitumen3Polymer modification of bitumen is the incorporation of polymers in bitumen by mechanical mixing or chemical reaction. respectively. These tanks are equipped with heating and circulation systems and can easily integrate into the existing production process of a facility.

Bitumen emulsions — Fields of application

  1. Road construction:
  • surfacing emulsions;
  • pothole patching;
  • bonding of asphalt layers;
  • using in Slurry Seal and Multimac technologies;
  • ground and base stabilization;
  • emulsions intended for reuse of asphalt materials (recycling);
  • long-term storage emulsions (wintertime pothole patching mixtures);
  • tackiness remover emulsions.
  1. Hydraulic engineering facilities:
  • emulsions intended to arrange waterproof membranes for foundations, swimming pools, pipe and pile linings, etc.;
  • emulsions are applied to the surface by jet method, single- or double-component method (to accelerate film formation).
  1. Roofing:
  • emulsions intended to obtain waterproof membranes on the surface of roofs of various complexity. These emulsions are applied to the surface by jet method.
