The GlobeCore CMM-6RL is a high-performance transformer oil regeneration system designed to restore aged insulating oil to a condition comparable to new. The regeneration process moves the oil through six columns filled with Fuller’s earth adsorbent, each containing 75 kg of highly microporous material. As the oil passes through the adsorbent bed, all degradation products, acids, sludge, and other contaminants are captured within the granules. Cloudy, darkened oil becomes clean and bright again, while its key electrical properties — breakdown voltage, acid number, and dielectric loss tangent — return to optimal levels. Regenerated oil can then be safely reused in transformers for both insulation and heat dissipation.
A major feature of the CMM-6RL is its ability to operate in adsorbent reactivation mode. When the sorbent becomes saturated and no longer meets regeneration requirements, the unit heats and burns the adsorbent inside the columns, restoring its adsorption properties without removing it from the system. This method enables hundreds of reactivation cycles and significantly reduces consumables, waste, and operating cost.
Beyond transformer oils, the CMM-6RL is highly effective for restoring a wide range of industrial oils, including general-purpose, hydraulic, formulated, slideway, heavy-duty, rolling mill, and gearbox oils. These oils operate under harsh thermal and mechanical conditions and degrade over time through oxidation, contamination, and moisture uptake. Without timely purification, aged industrial oils accelerate wear, cause equipment failures, and lead to expensive downtime and repair costs. Traditionally, such oils are replaced and disposed of even though a significant portion of their hydrocarbon base remains useful.
Regeneration with the CMM-6RL removes harmful contaminants while preserving the beneficial hydrocarbon structure. As oil flows through the adsorbent columns, acidic compounds and oxidation by-products are retained, and at the outlet, the treated oil regains properties close to new oil. This allows companies to reuse their industrial oils repeatedly, reducing operational expenses and environmental impact.
The CMM-6RL operates in sequential modes, including regeneration and sorbent reactivation cycles. Typical operating durations include 6 hours for oil regeneration and controlled stages for adsorbent preparation, ignition, combustion and cooling. Power consumption remains optimized across all phases to ensure energy-efficient operation.
With long sorbent life, minimal waste, and the ability to reactivate adsorbent up to 300 times, the CMM-6RL offers a sustainable, cost-effective alternative to traditional oil replacement and disposal practices.

* The unit capacity depends on the quality indicators of processed oil.
- Convenience of operation. The unit is quickly connected to tanks for clean and dirty oil through camlock quick couplings; the oil purification process is visually monitored by means of sight glasses; a service hatch is provided at the bottom of the columns for their maintenance and cleaning.
- The unit can operate in automatic mode. The required operating mode is selected, and the actuators are controlled from the touch panel which displays a mnemonic diagram of the unit. In order to enable the control buttons, the operator just needs to touch them.
- The adsorbent is reclaimed without being removed from the unit and can be used for the next regeneration cycle immediately after cooling. At the end of the last reactivation, the adsorbent can be used as a construction aggregate or in agriculture to loosen compact soils.
- There occur no harmful emissions into the environment during the unit operation. The unit is equipped with a two-stage system for neutralization of combustion products which consists of a carbon filter and a catalytic converter.
