Jatropha oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, primarily oleic and linoleic acids, with some palmitic and stearic acids. Its low free fatty acid (FFA) content in refined oil supports efficient transesterification and high biodiesel yield. The resulting biodiesel has a high cetane number, good lubricity, and low sulfur content, making it suitable for diesel engines. However, cold flow properties may require enhancement. The GlobeCore USB plant accommodates oil variability, ensuring fuel meets ASTM D6751 and EN 14214 standards.
