Hyundai Power Transformers USA units, like other large transformers, are subjected to thermographic inspections to identify abnormal hot spots on bushings, connections, radiators and tank surfaces. Infrared imaging reveals loose joints, overloaded components, cooling problems and developing faults without taking the transformer out of service. Early detection allows targeted maintenance before insulation damage or winding failures occur. For utilities, periodic thermography is part of condition based maintenance programs that extend transformer life and prevent costly unplanned outages in the transmission and distribution network.
