O óleo de transformador é um óleo mineral isolante utilizado em transformadores elétricos para isolamento e refrigeração. Ele atua como meio dielétrico, impedindo descargas elétricas internas, e ajuda a dissipar o calor gerado durante o funcionamento do transformador. Além disso, o óleo protege os componentes internos contra a oxidação e a umidade, prolongando a vida útil do equipamento.
