GC Vane Vacuum Pumps (Backing Pumps)
GC
-
Advantages
- simple installation and servicing;
- low noise level;
- low power consumption.
GC vane vacuum backing pumps are designed to create preliminary vacuum. Backing pumps are usually used in high vacuum systems as the first stage, in combination with high vacuum pumps.
A vane vacuum pump consists of a cylindrical chamber and a vane rotor. The vane rotor is offset relative to the center of the chamber. The offset creates two areas in the chamber: vacuum is created in one area, which draws air in, while the second area compresses the air and expels it.
Some of the possible fields of vane vacuum pump applications are:
- plastics production (vacuum molding, packing, coating);
- food production (sterilization, packing);
- medicine (sterilization);
- chemical industry (paint production);
- pharmaceutical industry (ampule production) etc.
