CMM-10RL Transformer Oil Regeneration Plant

The GlobeCore CMM-10RL is a transformer oil regeneration plant that restores degraded insulating oil to near-new condition. Oil passes through ten columns filled with Fuller’s earth sorbent, which removes acids, sludge, moisture and oxidation products, improving dielectric strength and clarity. The unit features in-column sorbent reactivation, allowing 300–500 reuse cycles without disposal. The CMM-10RL also regenerates turbine, hydraulic, silicone, FR3, Midel 7131, gearbox, compressor and cable oils, as well as polishes diesel, marine fuels and gas condensate. It delivers 0.75 m³/h and reduces oil replacement costs.

The GlobeCore CMM-10RL plant is designed for deep regeneration of transformer oil and other dielectric or industrial fluids, restoring their properties to a condition comparable to new. The system purifies oil by passing it through ten regeneration columns, each filled with 75 kg of Fuller’s earth sorbent. This fine-porous material captures oxidation products, sludge, acids, moisture and other contaminants as the oil flows through the adsorbent layer. As a result, dark, turbid and degraded oil becomes light and transparent again, while its dielectric strength increases, acid number decreases and stability parameters improve. Regenerated oil can be reused in transformers and other high-voltage equipment, significantly reducing the need for new oil purchases and minimizing waste.

A key advantage of the CMM-10RL is its built-in sorbent reactivation capability. Unlike traditional systems that require periodic replacement and disposal of exhausted sorbent, the CMM-10RL restores the adsorbent directly inside the columns without removing it. Through controlled heating and oxidation, the sorbent regains its adsorption properties and can be reused hundreds of times — typically 300 to 500 reactivation cycles. This drastically decreases operational costs, eliminates consumable waste and ensures stable long-term performance.

Beyond transformer oils, the CMM-10RL also regenerates a wide range of industrial and specialty fluids, including turbine oil, Fyrquel fire-resistant fluids, hydraulic oils, cable oils, compressor oils, gearbox oils, silicone fluids, Midel 7131, FR3 dielectric fluids, gas condensate and marine and diesel fuels. The plant is suitable for oil bleaching, fuel polishing and restoring low-viscosity marine fuels, making it a versatile tool for energy companies, industrial plants, transport operators and service organizations.

With a processing capacity of 0.75 m³/h, the CMM-10RL efficiently handles continuous oil regeneration tasks. It can also operate in combination with degassing or drying units to form a complete transformer oil maintenance line. The ability to reclaim waste oil and return it to service provides substantial economic savings, reduces environmental impact and extends equipment lifespan by ensuring that insulating oil maintains stable electrical and chemical characteristics.

The CMM-10RL is engineered for demanding industrial conditions, offering reliable operation, reduced operating expenses and high-quality purification results. By combining large sorbent capacity, efficient reactivation and compatibility with multiple oil types, it provides a sustainable and cost-effective solution for oil maintenance and transformer service programs.
