US-20S Transformer Drying Oven
US-20S Transformer Drying Oven
For transformers solid insulation | Vacuum drying | Heating by thermal oil circulation
The US-20S transformer drying oven is designed for thermal vacuum drying of oil-filled transformer components and can be used both for new transformers during manufacturing and for transformer restoration during repair and maintenance.
The unit can also be used for moisture removal from other electromechanical equipment, drying various materials, and curing paint and varnish coatings at a maximum operating temperature of up to 130°C.
The US-20S transformer drying oven also allows a transformer to be filled with transformer oil under vacuum through a dedicated oil filling pipeline.
Temperature Control in the Drying Chamber
The required temperature inside the drying chamber is generated and maintained by installed dual-circuit tubular radiators using oil as the heat-transfer medium, combined with internal air circulation. High-temperature centrifugal fans are used to circulate the heated air throughout the chamber.
To accelerate the drying process and significantly reduce the moisture content in the transformer active part, the transformer drying oven is equipped with a vacuum system. By reducing the pressure inside the drying chamber, the system increases the rate of moisture evaporation and reduces the overall drying time.
A condensation system is provided to collect and remove the moisture extracted during the drying process.
Loading Transformer Components into the Drying Chamber
For loading and unloading transformer components into and out of the drying chamber, the US-20S transformer drying oven is equipped with an internal electrically driven loading/unloading system.
The door can be operated automatically when the automatic operating mode is selected on the controller or manually via the controller when manual mode is selected.
A vacuum-tight seal between the door and the drying chamber is ensured by clamping cylinders. The cylinders press the door firmly against the chamber body through a sealing gasket, maintaining the required airtightness during vacuum operation.
Transformer Drying Oven Operation and Control
The operating status of the US-20S transformer drying oven can be monitored via the controller display installed in the control cabinet.
The US-20S is equipped with a drying process control system based on a programmable logic controller (PLC) with a touchscreen display. The system provides real-time monitoring and control of the drying process according to the preset temperature parameters, as well as continuous monitoring of the vacuum level inside the drying chamber.
