For Nycodiel (a natural ester dielectric) used in traction transformers you have two practical options depending on where and how much oil you need to treat. For depot or on‑carriage, a mobile on‑site purifier such as the CMM‑600CF is appropriate: it provides multi‑stage filtration, dehydration and vacuum degassing at about 600 L/h, includes tanks for used/new oil and on‑line oil‑quality monitoring (TOR‑5), and is designed for moving between carriages and working in a train environment.
For centralized workshop or higher throughput needs, a stationary degassing/drying/filtration plant such as the CMM‑15 is the better choice: it handles natural ester fluids, offers up to 15 m3/h in degassing/drying/filtration mode (17 m3/h in heating/filtration), fine filtration to ~1 µm, moisture targets down to ~10 ppm (options to 5 ppm), vacuum degassing and heating up to about 90 °C for viscosity control. If you must process oil while the transformer is live, consider a CMM‑R series regeneration unit sized to your flow needs. In all cases confirm elastomer/pump/seal compatibility with Nycodiel, avoid excessive temperatures beyond the ester maker’s limits, and plan oil sampling and dielectric monitoring before and after treatment.
